You've come to the right place if you want a red light therapy panel with pulsing capabilities. I've tested and analyzed 17 of the latest panels to determine which ones offer pulsing and, more importantly, which do it best.
Of the 17 panels I tested, only 10 offer pulsing, considerably narrowing the field. However, even within those 10, there are significant differences in how each panel handles pulsed light.
Let's break this down so you can make an informed decision.
Which Panels Offer Pulsing?
All the panels that made it into my top ten offer pulsing in the near-infrared wavelengths. It's important to note that if a panel offers pulsing, it will almost always be in the near-infrared range—not all panels provide pulsing in the red light range.

One exception to note is the Mito Red Light Mito Pro X panel. I have been informed that the new version will include pulsing, but I do not have the exact details yet.
The Top Panels That Offer Red and Near-Infrared Pulsing
The list gets even smaller if you're looking for a panel that pulses red and near-infrared light. Only four panels:
Again, the Mito Red Light panel remains an unknown in this category. Once it's released, check the product page to see its final specs.

Pulse Rate Options: What's the Best Panel for Pulsing?
Now, let's talk about pulse rate.
Different panels offer different levels of control over the pulsing frequency. Some provide a single preset rate, while others allow a full range of customizable options.
Here's a breakdown of the pulse rate options available:
- Joovv – Offers pulsing at just one preset rate (10Hz).
- Red Therapy Company's Red Rush features several preset pulsing rates but does not allow customization.
- Rouge G3 – Offers a range of 1Hz to 20Hz.
- Rojo Refine 900 – Provides a broader range, from 1Hz to 999Hz.
- Infraredi Pro Max & LightpathLED—Both offer pulsing from 1Hz to 10,000Hz, making them market leaders.
- Block Blue Light Mega 4.0 – Matches the 1Hz to 10,000Hz range but only pulses near-infrared light, not red light.
So if you're looking for the most advanced pulsing options, your top choices are Infraredi Pro Max and LightpathLED Diesel Shortie. Block Blue Light Mega 4.0 is another strong contender if you're okay with pulsing only near-infrared light.

Price and Ranking: Which Panel Offers the Best Value?
Of course, pulsing is just one feature of a panel. You must also consider price, overall quality, and how each panel ranks.
To help with that, I've put together a pricing and ranking comparison based on my 2024 Red Light Therapy Wall Panel Comparison series.
This ranking factors in:
- Price
- Warranty
- Wavelengths offered
- Power output
- Ease of use
- How long the company has been in business
- Whether the panel has pulsing

Price vs. Ranking Breakdown
Looking at the top panels:
- Infraredi Pro Max is about $400 cheaper than the LightpathLED Diesel Shortie.
- LightpathLED Diesel Shortie ranked 7th out of 17 panels overall, while Infraredi Pro Max ranked 11th.
- If buying a panel primarily for pulsing, consider spending extra on LightpathLED since it ranks higher overall.
- If you're on a tighter budget, Block Blue Light Mega 4.0 placed 2nd overall and still offers excellent pulsing features, albeit only in the near-infrared range.
- Mito Red Light Pro X ranked 5th overall and is priced lower than the Block Blue Light panel, but again, its pulsing specs remain unknown until final details are released.
Final Recommendations
If pulsing is your top priority, here's my take:
- The Best Overall Pulsing Panel is LightpathLED Diesel Shortie. It offers red and near-infrared pulsing, a wide range of frequencies, and ranks high overall.

- The Best Budget Option for Pulses is Block Blue Light Mega 4.0. It placed 2nd overall, has 1Hz-10,000Hz pulsing, and is a great price—but it only pulses near-infrared.

- Best Cheap Alternative with Full Pulsing—If you want both red and near-infrared pulsing but don't want to spend a lot, Infraredi Pro Max is the best option.

- Wildcard Option – Mito Red Light MitoPro X. If the final specs match expectations, this could be an excellent pulsing panel at a lower price point.
