Top 5 Red Light Panels If Money Doesn't Matter

Here's a comparison of professional red light therapy panels if money doesn't matter and you can spend big!

Top 5 Red Light Panels If Money Doesn't Matter
On this page
Introduction

If the budget is not a concern, what is the top red light therapy panel with 300 or fewer LEDs?

Buying a red light therapy panel can be confusing because of the many options available.  As you might have seen in my comprehensive red light therapy buyer’s guide, determining your budget is the first step. Your budget will determine what you can and cannot buy. I am often asked,” Alex, what’s the best option?” If you're fortunate enough to ask, I will share my top 5 recommendations after careful review.

In my 2024 red light therapy wall panel comparison series, I evaluated 17 panels based on metrics like wavelengths, power output, operations, company legitimacy, etc.  I ranked the panels after scoring them in 7 rounds. Let’s exclude the 7th round, which incorporated the price.

We want the best; thus, let’s discuss the top 5 after the 6th round.

5th place: MitroPro 1500X

In 5th place: the Mito Red Light Mito Pro 1500X. This is a really high-quality panel from a company that’s been in the red light therapy space for many years. What sets it apart is its impressive height. However, the narrowness caused it to lose points in my comparison. The great thing about the Mito Pro 1500X (code ALEX5 savses) is that you can cover a large treatment area if you get panels and place them side by side (which they are designed to do). This setup provides a wider coverage and a taller one.

Watch my review of the Mito Red MitoPRO 1500.

The panel features a good mix of wavelengths, including 590nm amber light. This panel is unique because it is the only one that uses 590nm. In addition to 590nm, it also includes 630nm, 660nm, 810nm, and 830nm wavelengths. The 810nm range receives significant energy, which I believe is a game-changer for muscle recovery and sports performance. Seeing a decent amount of 810nm in the Mito Pro X is great.

💡
Be sure to read the blog on the benefits of 590nm. My website also contains articles on several other wavelengths.

Mito Red Light (code ALEX5 saves) is an American company with a 3-year warranty and great customer support. They also offer many stand options, including a floor stand that allows you to use 2 of these panels. You can put one on top of the other, move it around on the floor, and have a tall red light therapy setup.

4th place: The Rouge Care G3 Pro

The key difference between the Rouge Care G3 Pro and the Mito Red MitroPro 1500x is its width. The Rouge panel and the other panels I will discuss are much wider. It measures 12 inches in width. This means that if you choose to get only one panel, you will have a larger treatment area for full-body treatments. However, remember that you won’t have shoulder-to-shoulder coverage with just one panel. You can either turn the panels on their side or get multiple panels to achieve that. Luckily, you can do this with many of these panels.

Check out my review of the Rouge Care Pro G3

The Rouge panel has a modular setup, allowing you to connect multiple panels together. It emits much more therapeutic light than the Mito Red MitroPro 1500x panel, making it one of the most powerful panels available. However, it emits only 660nm and 850nm light, which some may consider a downside. If you’re looking for a wider panel with traditional wavelengths and plenty of power, then the Rouge G3 Pro should be on your shortlist.

3rd place: The Rojo Therapy Refine 900

The Rojo Refine 900 (code ALEX saves) is an extraordinary panel that became available in early 2024. It is very powerful and has some unique revolutionary features.

Watch my review of the Rojo Refine 900!

The Rojo Refine 900 panel is 12” wide and has five different wavelengths: 630, 660, 810, 830, and 850 nanometer light. The panel has 300 dual-chip LEDs, and every LED lens has red and an NIR chip; thus, you’ll get a nice spread of light.

Rojo has individually wired each of those chips, which allows you to customize how much power or energy is going to each wavelength. If you want a lot of energy at 810nm but only a little at 830nm and 850nm, with no energy at red light wavelengths, you can achieve that with this panel.

The Rojo Refine panels have incorporated what they call smart modes. All you do is select your goal: bone healing, muscle recovery, or skin health. The panel will automatically adjust what wavelengths are running, how much energy is going to those wavelengths, and the time duration. This is a cool feature. It doesn’t exist in any of the other panels.

There’s also an app that allows you to control the panel with your phone. You can customize presets with your desired wavelengths and duration. This panel is unique because it offers features that I believe will be a game changer. Lastly, a free floor stand is included.

💡
Be sure to check out my website for our updated research. The plan is to thoroughly investigate a specific health issue, such as wound healing. Our goal is to analyze research to determine the most beneficial wavelengths, required intensities, and treatment duration. Once we have all the information, we will formulate recommendations, publish them, and make them accessible for customization using a tool like the Rojo Refine panel.

2nd place: The Block Blue Light Mega 900

The Block Blue Light Mega panel is 12 inches wide and has 300 LEDs. It uses dual-chip LEDs and emits five different wavelengths: 630nm, 660nm, 810nm, 830nm, and 850nm

Watch my review of the Block Blue Light Mega 4.0

The Block Blue Light Mega has a great touchscreen control system. It includes a remote control and a few stand options. This is the company's fourth generation of red light therapy panels, and they have been in business for many years. While it doesn’t have the customizable and smart modes of the Rojo panel, it has dimming and pulsing functions. The Block Blue Light Mega is the second most powerful panel I’ve ever tested.

The Block Blue Light Mega is the ideal choice if you’re looking for power, five wavelengths, dimming, pulsing, and touchscreen control.

💡
Be sure to head over to my Facebook group where we can discuss all of this in a lot more depth. I hope you will join us in the interesting discussions we have there. I look forward to hearing your ideas, observations, experiences, questions, and requests for future tests, so please share them with our LTI community.

There is one panel remaining. This panel ranked first in my 2024 comparison series. However, being the top panel does not make it perfect or automatically the right choice for you. I tested all panels using various metrics and scored them accordingly. The results may vary if you disagree or do not value certain metrics. I highly recommend watching my video of the 2024 Comparison series.

1st place: Platinum LED BioMax 900

Platinum LED has been involved in red light therapy for many years and has consistently created innovative products. This is their 2024 8th-generation panel.

Check out my review onn The BioMax 900

The panel is 12 inches wide and contains 300 LEDs with 7 different wavelengths: 630, 660, 810, 830, and 850 nanometers, along with some blue light and 1060nm. This panel is unique because it offers 7 wavelengths, which are not found in any other product on the market.

💡
Blue light is great for skin health, and the 1060 nanometer is beneficial for the brain. We have done extensive research on the benefits of different wavelengths. Check out my website to read these articles.

This panel is extremely powerful—the most powerful one I've ever tested. Not everyone wants a lot of power, but fortunately, with Platinum LED's control system, you can easily adjust the intensity and disable the blue light if you choose.

The Biomax 900 comes with a remote control and a free app. They also sell a professional touchscreen remote control for use in a clinic and for those who want more control over the panel.

A notable feature of the Biomax range is the extensive selection of stands available for purchase. They have a floor boat stand, a wall-mounted bracket, horizontal stands, vertical stands, and a motorized horizontal stand. I have done a review on the motorized horizontal stand and highly recommend it if you have the space and funds.

Another significant feature is the Biomax panel’s connectivity systems. It’s rather simple to connect multiple panels together and then operate them using the control mechanism of your choice, which makes this panel great if you want to expand your setup.

💡
I've been using Biomax panels for a couple of years now. I have the older 6th-gen panels, but they work great, so I haven't bothered upgrading. It's a well-built panel that emits a lot of red light.

My Final Recommendation!

You might discover that your perfect panel isn't among the five I mentioned or any of the 17 from my 2024 comparison series. These panels featured 300 LEDs or fewer and are what I refer to as wall panels. However, there are larger panels available, which I call body panels.

The body panels have thousands of LEDs integrated into them. While they are large and costly, they have the benefit of covering all areas in a single session. Shipping, freight, setup, and logistics can be a bit of a headache. However, once these panels are installed, they are nice.

My review of The Rojo 3000 body panel.
